Spring Homeschool Series 2024 

Registration is OPEN! 

  • Open to students from K-12
  • Sessions take place one Monday each month March 18, 2023 – June 10, 2024
  • Tuition for 4-class series: $50

Class topics and dates for the upcoming spring are listed below. Each class is tailored to specific grade and age ranges; please register your student for the most socially and academically appropriate range. 

Aquarium admission is not required for a student to attend class, but as in previous years, tickets or a membership are required for anyone visiting the aquarium before or after class. Non-members will pay regular admission rates; all tickets must be purchased online in advance. 

Classes are sold as a 4-part series for (please note – your ticket will only include the date of the first program but will be valid for all four dates).

Class Dates

March 18th – Arctic v. Antarctic (10th-12th Oceans & Climate Change)
April 15th – Sea Turtles (10th-12th Sea turtles and marine animal rescue)
May 20th – Plankton (10th – 12th Microbiology)
June 10th* – Coastal Field Program*

Class Times

Grades K to 3 (Ages 5-8):     AM session** 9:00-10:00
                                              PM session 12:30-1:30

Grades 4 to 6 (Ages 9-11):   AM session 10:30-11:30
                                              PM session 2:00-3:00

Grades 7 to 9 (Ages 12-14): 1:00-2:30

Grades 10 to 12 (Ages 15-18): 3:00-4:30

Pick up & Drop off: All programs occur in the Milne Center for Ocean Conservation, with pick up and drop off occurring at the front door of the Milne Center, **EXCEPT for the AM K-3 session drop off. Please drop those students off at the doorway to the left of the Milne Center main entrance. If you arrive after the posted start time, please ring the doorbell to the left of the main entrance and a staff member will come downstairs as quickly as possible to admit your student. 

*Please note, the June 10th class will be held at Bluff Point State Park, Groton, CT, and class times are: 

Grades K to 3 (Ages 5-8):             9:00-10:30 

Grades 4 to 6 (Ages 9-11):           11:00-12:30 

Grades 7-9 & 10-12 (Ages 12-18):             10:00 am-12 pm 

There are a 15-child maximum and a 6-child minimum for each class.


Classes cannot be sold separately.
