We are a card-only facility. We have cash-to-card machines located at our front entrance for those with cash, and there is no fee for this service.

How is Mystic Aquarium accessible to people with sensory or physical needs?
Mystic Aquarium is fully wheelchair accessible and is a certified KultureCity Sensory Inclusive Venue. Our trained staff are available throughout our campus to assist guests with any questions, directions, or accommodation requests. What is the minimum age to visit the aquarium alone?
Children ages 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult during their visit to Mystic Aquarium.
Can I take photos?
Flash photography is allowed for most exhibits. Video lights are not allowed. Be aware certain exhibits are marked – No Flash. Any commercial use of still or motion pictures taken at the Aquarium without written consent of Mystic Aquarium is prohibited.
Can I bring my pet?
For the health and safety of our animals, we do not allow pets into the Aquarium building with the exception of service animals.
Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA.
Do you offer memberships?
Yes, members receive free admission and other exciting benefits. Save your tickets to apply a portion of today’s admission toward an annual membership. Tickets are good for 30 days. Some restrictions apply. Click to learn more.
What is your smoking policy?
For the health and safety of our animals and guests, our facility is a smoke-free environment.
Can we bring our own food?
Outside food may not be brought into the facility. Please enjoy our picnic area near the east end of the parking lot. The Saltwater Cafe has a great menu with a variety of foods sure to satisfy guests of all ages.
Do I have to pay for parking?
No, parking is always free at Mystic Aquarium.
Does the aquarium close for inclement weather?
For updates on severe weather closures, please visit our website or social media accounts.
Can I still use my online tickets if I can't print them?
Yes! If you are unable to print the tickets you purchased online, simply bring the confirmation number or present them on your mobile device. A photo ID, such as your driver’s license, may be requested.
What are your safety and security protocols?
We want you to have fun and be inspired to protect our oceans! For the safety of our guests, staff and animals, no weapons are allowed on campus. Security cameras are placed in strategic areas throughout the campus. All bags are subject to a search for weaponry.
Guests are not allowed to carry concealed or displayed firearms on Aquarium property.
Police, in clearly identifiable uniforms, are allowed to carry and display firearms on Aquarium property.
Plain clothes, undercover or off duty police are allowed to carry weapons, concealed only.
If “concealed” firearms are observed, please notify anyone in Safety/Security or any senior Guest Services staff.
Do you have special rates for groups?
We do! When you add ten or more regular-price, paid tickets to your cart, you will automatically receive the group rate! If you are visiting with an official school or youth organization, click here for special pricing.
Can I make a donation?

What is your dress code?
Mystic Aquarium requires that proper attire must be worn at all times, including shirts and footwear.
Is there a gift shop?
Yes, a visit here wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the Mystic Aquarium store. Located next to the entrance, the store has a great selection of gifts, books, videos, apparel, and much more, so be sure to leave plenty of time to browse. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
How do I ask for a donation from you?
Throughout the year, Mystic Aquarium receives a great number of requests for donations. As a non-profit organization, there are limitations in our ability to support all requests. For consideration, the completed request form must be submitted 60 days prior to your event.
Requests not received via this online form will not be considered nor receive a response. Phone calls requesting or following up on donation requests may not be returned. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
What is your drone policy?
The possession of a drone or use of a drone in Mystic Aquarium airspace by a guest of the aquarium or the general public is strictly prohibited.
