MYSTIC, CT (February 24, 2021) – Mystic Aquarium recently announced Tina Couch has joined the organization as Vice President of Development. In this new role, Tina is responsible for all aspects of fundraising and membership.
“We are excited to have Tina join our team. She brings a wealth of experience running annual campaigns and large capital projects, including raising $90 million in capital to build a new K-12 school in New York City,” stated Dr. Stephen M. Coan, President and CEO of Mystic Aquarium. “Her commitment and passion for furthering our mission to inspire people to care for and protect our ocean planet through conservation, education and research will be a great asset to us.”
Most recently, Tina worked at an independent K-8 school in Washington, CT, to build a development program and launch the school’s first strategic plan. “Our family recently moved back to the area and we are thrilled to be on this new adventure,” she explained when asked about her new role. “I am looking forward to getting to know the community both personally and professionally.”
Tina holds a bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in Hartford and resides locally with her two children and husband.
