Evening for Families with Children on the Autism Spectrum

Join us on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 5:30pm-8:00pm for this evening event which is free for families or groups with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. This sensory sensitive evening features a quiet area, supportive staff and access to select Aquarium exhibits. Explore the Aquarium's outdoor habitats including beluga whales, seals and sea lions from 5:30-7:30pm. Inside, discover hundreds of vibrant fish and sea life from 5:30-8:00pm and trek through Jurassic Giants: A Dinosaur Adventure where all sound and motion will be turned off for a sensory sensitive experience. The following exhibits will not be open: Sting Ray Touch, Foxwoods Marine Theater, Boomerang Island, 4-D Theater, Blue Theater. Please note that this free event is only for this 5:30pm-8:00pm time period on August 22, 2019. If you are interested in visiting Mystic Aquarium before 5:30pm, regular aquarium admission rates will apply. Documentation of diagnosis is not required. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED for each member of your party, ages 2 and above. You must present confirmation of your registration either through printed tickets, or on your phone, at the check in table in order to enter the event.
