Eco Explorers camp is a full-day, weeklong camp that focuses on exploring land based, coastal, salt marsh and fresh water ecosystems and more! Our exploration-minded staff will utilize our exhibits, engaging hands-on activities, games, crafts and meetings with our animal care team to guide your explorer on an ecological experience. Trips to Roger Williams Park Zoo to compare several ecosystems and Bluff Point State Park to focus on an estuary will highlight the important connection between to the ocean and ourselves. Each day will highlight a conservation effort in this exciting camp. Extended Day is available for this camp.

Join us for a weeklong learning experience for campers who want to know what it’s like to work at an aquarium or on the open ocean. We will look at careers from aquaculture to animal care and everything in between. Campers will participate in hands-on activities, visit behind the scenes, meet with our incredibly diverse staff that call the Aquarium “home.” Field trips to Bluff Point State Park in search of horseshoe crabs and Project Oceanology to learn about the Long Island Sound ecosystem will allow campers to utilize the new skills they have learned while here in camp. Extended Day is available for this camp.

Mystic Aquarium and Project Oceanology are once again teaming up for a week of habitat exploration. Held at both facilities, this camp is specially designed for budding marine biologists. Jointly taught by instructors from both organizations, your camper will be led on a journey of investigation to discover our local marine habitats, find out how animals survive in endangered ecosystems, adapt to new challenges and how some animals survive at the deepest parts of the sea. Camp is held at Mystic Aquarium on Monday through Wednesday and Project Oceanology on Thursday and Friday. Extended day is not offered for this camp.

This joint camp with Mystic Seaport Museum will have campers starting their day at the Aquarium with hands-on programming to learn about the conservation of the Mystic River and Long Island Sound. Then in the afternoon, campers will travel to the Seaport to learn to sail JY sailboats under the guidance of Mystic Seaport Instructors. This camp will provide your child the unique opportunity to see the Mystic River from above while learning about what animals are found below. Each day campers check in at Mystic Aquarium and they are picked up at Mystic Seaport Museum. Campers and staff use SEAT bus for transportation from the Aquarium to the Seaport each day. Extended day is not offered for this camp.

Back again for 2020! This very popular three-day camp is the perfect experience for your camper right before the July 4 holiday. Campers will go behind the scenes of the Aquarium’s exhibits, meet unique animals, learn from animal care staff and work on a themed craft to take home at the end of this session. This camp remains on campus but takes daily trips to explore the Aquarium. Extended Day is available for this camp.
