Entering Grades 1-3

Let our energetic staff take your camper on an amazing marine adventure! Campers will be engaged and educated as they visit behind the scenes areas, meet unique animals and learn from staff that care for our animals every day. Each day of this camp will focus on a different group of animals with campers diving deep into studying the unique characteristics and adaptations of marine life. Campers will take their adventure on the road and will travel to Mystic Seaport Museum to explore the connection between maritime history and marine biology. While at Bluff Point State Park, they will search through tide pools and marshes to discover the life just below the ocean’s surface. Extended Day is available for this camp.

Join our dynamic camp staff in exploring the Arctic and Antarctic, deserts and rain forests, coral reefs and hydrothermal vents. Taking a journey around the globe, we’ll uncover how these unique habitats become home for some of the world’s most charismatic species. Hands-on activities, crafts, games, behind the scenes visits, field trips to Bluff Point State Park to explore coastal ecosystems and a tour around Roger Williams Park Zoo will guide our investigation of Wild Ecosystems around the world. Extended Day is available for this camp.

This action-packed, weeklong camp will have your camper learning about some of the most endangered animals on the planet. By learning more about the species that have come back from the brink of extinction, we’ll discover how we can work together to help others achieve this goal! Camp highlights include hands-on activities, meeting with conservation and animal care experts, participation in field surveys and touring behind the scenes of the Aquarium’s exhibits. Exciting field trips to Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center to search for some of Connecticut’s endangered species and Bluff Point State Park to learn about local invasive species will immerse campers in conservation science. Extended Day is available for this camp.

This weeklong camp is specially designed for the aspiring young scientist who is ready to dive into marine biology! With the help of Aquarium staff, campers will learn how we use science every day to not only care for our animals and exhibits but also to protect our ocean planet. Through hands-on activities, games and crafts, campers uncover the mysteries of science and to answer our camp questions of the day. Field trips to Bluff Point State Park to look at water quality and the life within the marsh and the Connecticut Science Center to explore many different aspects of science are awaiting your young scientist. Extended Day is available for this camp.

Back again for 2020! This very popular three-day camp is the perfect experience for your camper right before the July 4 holiday. Campers will go behind the scenes of the Aquarium’s exhibits, meet unique animals, learn from animal care staff and work on a themed craft to take home at the end of this session. This camp remains on campus but takes daily trips to explore the Aquarium. Extended Day is available for this camp.
