2024 Multi-Group Overnight Dates Coming Soon!
Imagine exploring Mystic Aquarium after hours when all the visitors have left for the evening. Our overnight experiences are the perfect way for scout troops, families, schools, or any group of up to 75 people, to see what happens when the lights go out and the animals settle in for the night.
Greeted by your Aquarium hosts, your night will include educational programming geared for youth ages 5-12, exploration time in the Aquarium’s main gallery, and an evening snack before you tuck into your sleeping bags and sleep in front of the indoor exhibits. In the morning, you will enjoy a continental breakfast and tour the exhibits to visit beluga whales, penguins, seals, and sea lions. All overnight attendees will also receive a patch and free admission to the Aquarium for the following morning.
Please note that our overnight programs cannot accommodate youth under 5 years of age. Children (age 5 and over) must be accompanied by a paid adult at a minimum ratio of 1 chaperone to 5 children.
Please remember to eat prior to checking-in as dinner is not provided during the overnight. An evening snack and a continental breakfast are provided.
Pre-registration is required for all overnights.
Two overnight options are available – a Private Overnight for up to 75 people from a single group or a Multi-Group Overnight that will include smaller groups and families.

Private Overnight Information
Our Private Overnight experiences are the perfect way for larger scout troops, families, schools, or any group of up to 75 people, to see what happens when the lights go out and the animals settle in for the night. Private overnight groups can customize their evening programming by choosing from a list of marine topics and have their choice of sleeping spots throughout the main gallery.

The base cost of the Private Overnight experience is $5,500.00 for up to 60 people. Have a larger group? For an additional fee of $1,375.00, you can increase the number of participants to 75. Individuals purchasing private overnights will be responsible for filling the event with participants. Children (must be at least 5 years old to attend) must be accompanied by a paid adult at a minimum ratio of 1 chaperone to 5 children. A non-refundable deposit of $1000 is required once the reservation request has been processed and the date finalized. Final payment is due 8 weeks before the overnight date. You will receive additional information regarding the evening, your roster and final payment once your request has been confirmed via email.
Multi-Group Overnight Information
Our Multi-Group Overnight experiences are the perfect way for smaller scout troops, families, or any group of up to 75 people, to see what happens when the lights go out and the animals settle in for the night.
The fee for our Multi-Group Overnight experience is $115.00 per person. This fee is paid in full at the time of registration. This overnight will be filled with smaller groups until maximum capacity is reached and is open to all scouts and families, or any group of up to 75 people. This is not a scout-only overnight and everyone is allowed to attend. Children (must be at least 5 years of age to attend) must be accompanied by a paid adult at a minimum ratio of 1 chaperone to 5 children. Upon registration, you will receive additional information about the evening and when a group roster is due. Please note that a minimum number of 50 participants are needed at least 3 weeks before the event date for the overnight to be hosted.
