Learn together about aquatic animals and nature’s splendors through nature play, guided learning activities, story time, and creative crafts. These programs offer a great way to connect with other families having similar interests and opportunities to help young ones learn and play well together. 

• $25 per child ages 2 to 5 and accompanying adult per program/date. Tickets for additional children can be added on to your order for $15.
  • Please note that an adult guardian must be present with their participating child at all times during the program.
  • Please understand that we have a minimum requirement to confirm each program date. A full refund will apply for any date we may cancel due to under-enrollment.
  • You will enter/exit our educational building, so general admission is not required to attend this program and is not included.
  • Upon registering for a Preschool Family Program, you may purchase discounted admission tickets for the main Aquarium. To do so, email dmadden@mysticaquarium.org at least 72 hours prior to the program date.
  • A member of the Education staff will meet you prior to start-time at the external parking lot entrance of the Milne Ocean Science & Conservation Center located on the far-right side of the Mystic Aquarium complex with overflow parking.

Tidal Pool Pals - All sorts of incredible animals make their home in tide pools. Over the course of this hour length program, you and your child will get to meet and touch some of those creatures up close! In addition to learning about this fascinating habitat, we will create a colorful tide pool craft. We hope you join us for a morning filled with marine science fun!

Turtles and Tortoises - Join us for a morning about turtles of all kinds! Expect to meet one of our tortoises in our classroom and learn about all the things that make them fascinating. Through games and crafts, we will have a fun morning learning about these radical reptiles!

Bug Search! Small Friends, Big Discoveries - Mystic Aquarium invites you and your child to explore the incredible world of the critters under our feet! This March, join us for Bug Search: Small Friends, Big Discoveries. In this one-hour program, you and your child will join one of our educators on a journey across the aquarium to find all sorts of different crawly creatures. While on your search, spend some time playing in our exclusive outdoor play area! And we’ll wrap up our day with a fun bug craft for you to take home!
