Preschool Family Series (2 1/2+ to 5 years)
Learn together about aquatic animals and nature’s splendors through nature play, guided learning activities, story time, and/or creative crafts. These programs offer a great way to connect with other families having similar interests and opportunities to help young ones learn and play well together. A different creature or wonder of nature will be featured weekly, so you can sign up for multiple programs to enjoy!
- 1 preschooler (ages 2 ½ to 5) with 1 adult guardian in support of their preschooler (Please note that your child must be 2 ½ years old by the start date of the program, and program content is designed for preschoolers that have had some prior exposure to group learning or activities.)
- Programs are 1-hour and may be offered 10-11am or 1-2pm.
- $25 per child ages 2 ½ to 5 and accompanying adult per program/date. (A different creature or wonder of nature will be featured weekly, so you can sign up for multiple programs to enjoy!)
- Please note that an adult guardian must be present with their participating child at all times during the program.
- Due to limited space, only 1 adult will be able to attend per participating child.
- You also may register a “non-participating” sibling for a nominal fee of $5, ages 0-2 ½. Again, due to space limitations, we need to account for all present in the room, so this includes an occupied baby stroller.
- Please understand that we have a minimum requirement to confirm each program date. A full refund will apply for any date we may cancel due to under-enrollment.
- You will enter/exit our educational building, so general admission is not required to attend this program and is not included.
- A member of the Education staff will meet you 5-minutes prior to start-time at the external parking lot entrance of the Milne Ocean Science & Conservation Center located on the far-right side of the Mystic Aquarium complex with overflow parking.
Wee Family Science – Join us out in nature to explore and participate in some of our citizen science projects from tagging monarch butterflies to searching for their buggy friends, frogs, and salamanders! (Note that if wanting to bring younger siblings, these programs will occur out in nature, and some trails may not be stroller friendly.)
