Ocean animals have countless ways of moving from one place to another. Some float, some use flippers, others walk sideways! Through a puppet show, the party will see if Rocky the rock crab or Octy the octopus can teach a confused baby beluga how to swim. The puppet show utilizes beluga whale, rock crab, sea star and octopus puppets that illustrate to kids that whales move their tails up and down to swim. The show is followed by a hands-on touch and learn with invertebrates (sea star, crabs and snails).
Children will discover the unique ways that fish hide and protect themselves in the ocean as they participate in a great ocean survival game. Hiding places like a cave, rocks, eel grass, seaweed, sand and a sea anemone are pulled from the magical suitcase. Next to join the party are a squirrel fish, American eel, flounder, pipefish, sea raven, lion fish and anemone fish. Each of these unique animals has a special body part or way of acting to help protect itself in the vast ocean environment. Each child takes on the role of a fish or a hiding place and after practicing this interaction the educator brings out the fun shark puppet. This is when the game begins and the children help their fish swim to its appropriate hiding place away from the shark. The game is followed by a hands-on touch and learn with live invertebrates (sea stars, crabs, snails).
Party guests will be tickled to watch as the birthday child is turned into a penguin right before their eyes as they discover the wonders of these “birds that can’t fly”.

The host will choose fun games that are best suited for the age group and may include those that illustrate how a beluga whale uses sound to “see” in the ocean, how it finds food and how it eats. The program is followed by a hands-on touch and learn with live invertebrates (crabs, sea stars and snail).
