Join us for an evening at Mystic Aquarium for families with children on the autism spectrum and with sensory processing disorders on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. This event runs between 4:00-8:45pm and is hosted by Mystic Aquarium and Sensations Charitable Foundation and supported by Autism Speaks.
This evening event is free to attend for families or groups with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorders. The evening event will feature quiet areas, outdoor "free play" zone, supportive staff, and access to select aquarium exhibits. The outdoor aquarium exhibits- beluga whales, seals and sea lions and the outdoor free play zone will be open from 4:00-8:15pm. The indoor exhibits including the main exhibit floor and the Exploration: Wild exhibit will be open from 4:00pm-8:45pm.
The following exhibits will not be open: Sting Ray Touch Pool, Birds of the Outback, Penguin Exhibit, Marine Mammal Observatory, Scales and Tails, and Foxwoods Marine Theater.
Cost: This evening is completely free. Please note that this free event is only for this 4:00-8:45pm time period. If you are interested in visiting Mystic Aquarium before 4:00pm regular aquarium admission rates will apply.
Please note: Registration is required. Documentation of diagnosis is not required for admission. Upon arrival at event please present the confirmation of your registration at the check-in table at the front gate.
