Join us on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 for an evening at Mystic Aquarium for families with children on the autism spectrum and with sensory processing challenges. This event runs between 3:00-8:00pm and is hosted by Mystic Aquarium and Sensations Charitable Foundation and supported by Autism Speaks.
This evening event is free to attend for families or groups with children on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing challenges. The evening event will feature quiet areas, outdoor "free play" zone, supportive staff, and access to select aquarium exhibits. The outdoor aquarium exhibits- beluga whales, seals and sea lions and the outdoor free play zone will be open from 3:00pm-7:45pm. The indoor exhibits including the main exhibit gallery and the Exploration: Wild exhibit will be open from 3:00pm-8:00pm.
The following exhibits will be open from 3:00pm-5:45pm only: Sting Ray Touch Exhibit, Shark Touch Exhibit, Penguin Exhibit.
The Birds of the Outback and 4D Theater will be open from 3:00pm-5:00pm and will require the regular fee to enter.
Documentation of diagnosis is not required for admission.
Cost: Please note that this free event is only for this 3:00-8:00pm time period on August 16, 2016. If you are interested in visiting Mystic Aquarium before 3:00pm regular aquarium admission rates will apply.
