Amid the mystery of the deep sea, dancing will take over Mystic Aquarium during an evening of exciting festivity. Celebrate the music, wonder and fun of a New Year with the Fred Astaire / Mystic Stars Dance Challenge on Saturday, January 28, 2012.

A collaboration between Fred Astaire Mystic Dance Studio and Mystic Aquarium, this evening of dance will keep spirits high on a crisp winter night. From 5:30 to 10:30 p.m., Mystic Aquarium will host competitive dancing, a professional dance show, general ballroom and Latin dancing, a champagne reception and seated dinner. Open to the public, spectators can cheer for competitors in the Fred Astaire Pro-Am competition, or join the full evening’s revelry that includes Pro-Am comps, professional show, delectable hors d'oeuvres, a bubbling champagne reception and sumptuous dinner banquet.

An international dance champion will MC and music will be provided by a professional DJ. Judges will vote for the best Fred Astaire Mystic Pro-Am couples in smooth and Latin styles.
