Hard Rock Cafe Foxwoods is hosting a 21+ Penguin Party in support of Mystic Aquarium’s African penguin conservation efforts on Thursday, June 2. This event will feature several of Mystic Aquarium’s 30 resident African penguins for all to see. In addition, 100% of ticket sales will directly benefit Mystic Aquarium to help save this endangered species. The $30 ticket price will include beverages, delicious food, plus live penguins! The Penguin Party marks the half-way point of the Endangered Species Pin Program orchestrated by Hard Rock Café and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). On Earth Day, Friday, April 22, 2011, special African penguin pins were made available through Hard Rock Café Foxwoods with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the AZA and Connecticut’s own Mystic Aquarium. This limited-edition design showcases a guitar shaped pin featuring two African penguins and a chain detail at the neck of the guitar along with Mystic Aquarium’s logo. The pin will be available at Hard Rock Cafe Foxwoods while supplies last for $14. Hard Rock Cafe Foxwoods is one of 24 Hard Rock locations nationwide offering city-specific, endangered species guitar pins in honor of Earth Day.
