Join us for a book signing with the author and illustrator of “Astro, The Steller Sea Lion”. Author Jeanne Walker Harvey and Illustrator Shennen Bersani will be available to sign copies their wonderful book, written for ages 4 to 9, about Astro, a Steller sea lion that lives here at Mystic Aquarium. 

Astro came to Mystic, Connecticut from California in 2008. Originally orphaned at just a few days old, he was rehabilitated and released three times before being deemed non-releasable after being found participating in a walkathon with elementary school students. Astro was featured on the Today Show in March 2008 for his role in the walkathon, in which he completed three-quarters of a lap around the track. He was too accustomed to people to be out on his own, so he came to Mystic Aquarium to live with other Steller sea lions. He currently resides in the Pribilof Islands exhibit.

The book signing will take place inside the Aquarium Store from noon to 2pm.
