Mystic Aquarium

As trick-or-treating is being canceled around the region in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Sea Research Foundation’s Mystic Aquarium is opening its doors on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a free, safe, family-friendly trick-or-treating event among the aquarium’s exhibits.

Mystic Aquarium's staff and animals are safe and sound after Hurricane Sandy. The facility did not sustain any damage and the aquarium resumed regular business hours on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Mystic Aquarium’s animal rescue team will release two 5-month-old harbor seal pups, Hershey and Brunswick, into the waters of Charlestown Breachway State Beach on Charlestown Beach Road in Charlestown, R.I., on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 10 a.m.*

Sea Research Foundation’s Mystic Aquarium welcomes two northern fur seals from New York Aquarium. Guests can see and learn about Jack, 10, and Sam, 9, at the aquarium’s outdoor Pacific Northwest habitat.
