Mystic Aquarium

You can’t take them home, but you can adopt one of Mystic Aquarium's wonderful marine animals. As an Animal Parent, you help us feed, protect and provide enrichment for the animals here at the Aquarium. Adoption kits include a personalized certificate, photo and fact sheet, and other fun stuff. Animal Parent kits make great gifts!

Due to the personalization of each kit, we need five business days to process, plus USPS mailing time. Please keep this in mind as you plan you last minute shopping.  

Some of our most popular species are available for adoption. You can choose from Clownfish, Green sea turtle, Steller sea lions, California sea lions, African penguins or the Beluga whales.

Remember, the most important benefit is knowing that you have given the much needed funding to provide care, food, enrichment, and so much more to the animals of the Aquarium. Decide which adoption level is right for you, make the appropriate donation, and sponsor an animal for a year! Animal Parent kits also make great gifts!

To join the Animal Parent Program, begin by downloading an application form. There are different forms for individuals and groups wishing to join. Please note:  Because Mystic Aquarium is a living museum, the list of animals available for adoption is subject to change, and every species may not be on exhibit at all times.
