Sea School is the nation's first and only licensed preschool in an aquarium!
This one of a kind program provides preschoolers with the unique opportunity to learn and play while exploring the exciting world of marine life!
The Sea School preschool program uses developmentally appropriate practices that provide children with the opportunity to explore their world and develop a love of learning in a stimulating and nurturing environment. Inside and outside the classroom, the dynamic Sea School environment at Mystic Aquarium promotes self-discovery and imaginative play guided by teachers who inspire curiosity and creative thinking. What better place to have children explore their natural curiosity than at an aquarium where ocean creatures are living all around them?
Our unique Sea School curriculum creates an educational environment that empowers children to be confident, successful, lifelong learners. We focus on the development of the whole child by offering rewarding, enriching hands-on experiences that foster the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of all children. The areas of literacy, language, science, technology, engineering, math, art and social studies are incorporated into exciting themed units. The program serves as a first taste of what school will be like, but is also a great enrichment program for youngsters already enrolled in another program.
Sea School is currently enrolling for the 2018-2019 school year.
