Immersion is a fun and powerful science education program for kids in grades 4-8. Famed oceanographer and explorer Dr. Robert Ballard founded Immersion Learning in 2002, and since then he’s brought hundreds of thousands of kids and their families along with him on amazing scientific expeditions throughout the world.

Immersion Learning programs:

• Feature live webcasts from real-world scientific expeditions
• Include fun, hands-on science activities correlated to National Standards
• Inspire kids with an engaging Web site that includes games and resources
• Expose kids to a wide variety of science-related careers and role models

Immersion Theater

The Immersion Theater at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration uses live feeds and interactive technology to bring visitors live programs from Dr. Robert Ballard's worldwide expeditions, and the chance to visit our National Marine Sanctuaries without getting your feet wet, all using the newest robotics and communications technology!
