Mystic Aquarium

Ages 9-12

Join us for three fun-filled days at Mystic Aquarium! This camp is perfect for the curious camper who enjoys investigation and hands-on activities. Campers explore exhibits, visit behind-the-scenes, dive into science experiments, learn about our green efforts and meet some unusual new freinds, all while discovering what makes the aquarium such an awesome place.

Schedule: July 1-3, 8:30am-4:00pm

Ages 9 to 12

Calling all animal lovers! Join us for a week-long adventure where campers learn about the fabulous animals who call the marine world home and why we strive to learn more about them. Campers meet animal care trainers and scientists, take special behind-the-scenes tours, learn about the excitement of working at the aquarium and participate in hands-on activities. Field trips, including one to a local habitat, and unique projects enhance this super fun animal exploration experience.

July 8-12, July 22-26, August 5-9, August 19-23

AGES 9 to 12

Join us for this popular joint Mystic Aquarium/Mystic Seaport summer program. While at the aquarium, campers learn about fascinating animals and habitats of the Mystic River and Long Island Sound. Campers then travel to the Seaport for a daily sailing adventure as they learn to sail. All told, campers find sailing at Mystic Seaport and investigating animals at Mystic Aquarium an incredible, memorable experience! Campers must be able to swim. Please enroll for this adventure through the aquarium. There is no aftercare available for this program. Camper drop off will be at the Aquarium and pick up will be at the Seaport.

June 24-28, July 29 - August 2

Cost: Aquarium or Seaport Members:  $350; Non-members:  $400

Ages 9-12

The ocean is full of more than just animals. Join us for an eye-opening adventure as we investigate and learn from the Titanic and other sunken ships from the past, plus learn how wercks are discovered and how they may have come to rest at the bottom of the ocean. Campers enjoy hands-on activities, meet terrific aquarium staff, interact with animals, complete a cool project, visit local habitats and much more!

July 15-19, August 12-16

Cost:  Members:  $325; Non-members: $370

Ages 11 to 13

In this riveting camp, explore the undersea world aboard Project Oceanology’s research vessel, visit a variety of marine coastal environments and sleep overnight at camp co-sponsor, Mystic Aquarium. This weeklong overnight camp is held at the University of Rhode Island’s Environmental Education Center. Fee includes all meals, accommodations and research equipment.
