Entering Grades 4 through 6

Eco Explorers camp is a full-day, weeklong camp exploring habitats including terrestrial areas, estuaries, marshes, fresh water and more.  Eco Explorers will participate in engaging hands-on activities, games, crafts and behind the scenes visits and go on two field trips; Save The Bay boat trip and Bluff Point State Park. Our exploration-minded staff will utilize our exhibits and meetings with our animal care staff to guide your explorer on an ecological experience.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm: July 8-12, August 12-16, August 26-30

JUNIOR AQUARIUM CAREERS

Entering Grades 4 through 6

New for 2019! Join us for a weeklong adventure for campers who want to learn what it’s like to work at an aquarium or on the open ocean. We will look at careers from animal care to exhibit design and everything in between. Campers will participate in hands-on activities, visit behind the scenes to meet with the diverse staff that call the Aquarium “home”, and visit Bluff Point State Park and the Nautilus Museum to further explore career opportunities.

MARINE ANIMALS AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT

Entering Grades 4 through 6

Mystic Aquarium and Project Oceanology are once again teaming up for a week of habitat exploration.  Held at both facilities, this camp is specially designed for budding marine biologists. Jointly taught by instructors from both organizations, your camper will be led on a journey of investigation to discover how animals survive in endangered ecosystems, adapt to invasive species threats, and how some animals survive at the deepest parts of the sea.  Extended day is not offered for this camp.

MYSTIC RIVER ADVENTURE

Entering Grades 4 through 6

This joint camp with Mystic Seaport will have campers starting their day at the Aquarium with hands-on programming to learn about the conservation of Mystic River and Long Island Sound.  Then, in the afternoon, campers will travel to the Seaport to learn how to sail on the Mystic River. This camp will provide your child the unique opportunity to see the Mystic River from above and below. Extended day is not offered for this camp.

AQUARIUM FUN

Entering Grades 4 through 6

New for 2019!  Send your camper on a 3 day adventure at Mystic Aquarium right before the July 4 holiday. Campers will go behind the scenes of the Aquarium’s exhibits, meet unique animals, learn from animal care staff and work on a themed craft to take home at the end of this session.

EXTENDED DAY
