Aquarium Names Seal After Patriot’s Defensive Lineman in Honor of Epic Win Mystic, Conn. As part of her PhD dissertation, Dr. Laura Thompson, under the direction of Dr. Tracy Romano, Chief Scientist and Vice President of Biological Research at Mystic Aquarium developed a method to collect samples of respiratory vapor, or “blow,” from belugas.
