California Sea Lion

California sea lion pupsCalifornia sea lions are celebrated for their intelligence, grace, speed and agility (both in and out of the water). In fact, California sea lions not only served as animal ambassadors for their wild counterparts at aquariums around the world but have also been trained by the Navy to assist in the marking and retrieval of objects in the ocean.  Click to learn more about the California sea lion!

Moon Jelly

There are more than 200 species of jellies found worldwide in shallow coastal regions to ocean depths of over 6000 feet.   These animals can range in size from a tiny 2mm to over 120 feet long (that is longer than a blue whale!) and 95% of their bodies being comprised of water.  Read on to learn more about one of these amazing animals, the moon jelly.
