Meet Our Steller Sea Lions and Seal!

These animals call Pacific Northwest home.

Harbor Seal

Rocky: Rocky was born in 1980. He is the oldest marine mammal at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration. In his lifetime, he has fathered two pups.

Steller Sea Lions

Kodiak: Kodiak was born in 1996 and taken in by the Vancouver Aquarium in 1997. He came to Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration in 2002.

Astro: Astro was relocated here from California in 2008. He was featured on the Today Show in March 2008 for his role in an elementary school walkathon, in which he completed three-quarters of a lap around the track. Astro was released three times before being deemed non-releasable after his "walk" with the students.

Juneau: Juneau was born here in 1984.

LA: LA (short for "Little Angel") as born in 1987 under human care at Sea World in Texas.

Eden: Eden arrived in October 2008 from Vancouver Aquarium. She was born in 2000.

Mara: Mara arrived with Eden and was born in 2003.
