Coral Reef

The 30,000-gallon Coral Reef exhibit allows for above- and below-water viewing. Adjacent to this large exhibit is an exhibit featuring clownfish and anemones – a perennial favorite for children, who love to “find Nemo!”

Across from the clownfish, meet two rescued loggerhead hatchlings, who arrived from the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores in October 2009. The loggerheads will be raised here until they are ready for release into North Carolina’s waters in one to three years.
