|Membership Booth Lead|
Position: Membership Lead - Booth
Immediate Supervisor: Membership Manager
Employment Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, 7.75 to 38.75 hours per week, 1 weekend day and occasional evenings required; schedule subject to change
Pay Rate: $9.45 - $10.00/hr.
Job Summary: Demonstrate excellent representation of Mystic Aquarium, Sea Research Foundation and the Membership Department every day through a positive, can do attitude and a teamwork focused work ethic. Oversee the function of membership sales and entry through the Membership Sales & Entry booth and all on-campus sales efforts. Schedule, train, and supervise the performance of Membership Representatives to ensure accuracy and a positive member experience. Ensure Membership Representatives are always up-to-speed with promotions, exhibit updates, policies and procedures. Provide coverage in other department operations as needed, including office coverage and data entry, to ensure best possible service to Aquarium members. Support the membership sales and revenue goals of the Membership Department. Ensure the satisfaction and retention of our constituency by providing high-quality, professional, friendly customer service.
Requirements: Must possess strong supervisory and communication skills. Must be willing and able to consistently provide guest service above and beyond the expected. Strong supervisor, interpersonal, communication, cash handling and customer service skills. Proficient clerical, computer, office machines skills as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Prior experience with database and point-of-sale software helpful. Fast and accurate typing skills. Must be organized, detail oriented and able to solve problems on the fly. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume visitor environment. Must be able to work scheduled holidays, school and summer vacation weeks due to high attendance. Must be able to work outside and withstand inclement weather conditions and lift up to 25 pounds.
