As reported by Chrissy Metzger Barth, Mystic Aquarium’s Trainer of Cetaceans and Pinnipeds December 21-27: Settling back into life in Alaska, my second week caring for Tyonek has been like a dream! I have almost mastered filleting fish and have gotten my formula making down to 30 minutes. This week we weighed Tyonek and he is up to 105.4kg (232lbs). Mystic, Conn. (December 12, 2017): On Friday night, December 8, a total of 7,259 guests visited Mystic Aquarium as part of Olde Mistick Village’s Festival of Lights. It is the largest recorded attendance in the events’ history at Mystic Aquarium. Even more impressive is the generosity of those guests.
