Dear Friend, This past week, I was honored to be at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Directors’ Policy Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas. The conference was hosted by Texas State Aquarium, which is completing a $50 million expansion that will add 65,000 square feet of new exhibit space. I want to celebrate some of Mystic Aquarium's milestone achievements during the past year: Our attendance increased 9 percent over 2015 to nearly 720,000 visitors, including a 16 percent increase from local markets, Providence, Hartford and New London.
