This morning I woke up to an overcast, rainy day in Laguna Beach. Kristy had met me for breakfast and after a morning coffee and bagel, and we were soon on our way to work! Our schedule starts at 7:30am, but some of the other staff and volunteers had arrived at 6am to get the gruel prepared for the nursery pups' first tube feeding of the day. I have determined in the past two days that the staff and volunteers at PMMC must be the most physically fit people...ever. This morning when I woke up, I felt like I had not only aged 60 years but I also felt like I had been competing in a CrossFit competition for the past few days! Feeding Sea Lion Pups

I woke up to another beautiful, sunny day here in California! The sounds of seal and sea lion vocalizations (particularly elephant seal vocalizations) could be heard from the Pacific Marine Mammal Center parking lot as I pulled up to the facility.
